My name is Usman Shahzadi, and I am the Team 2 Supervisor at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital. With three years of experience in healthcare security, I have developed expertise in bed watch, fire marshal duties, and emergency response. My role allows me to contribute to a safe and welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors while fostering a strong, motivated team.

At Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital, I lead my team to ensure a secure and supportive setting. This involves collaborating with healthcare professionals, maintaining effective communication, and upholding high standards of security. My focus is on exceeding client expectations by promoting a culture of professionalism and respect within the team.

Our work environment at Royal Blackburn is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring adaptability and dedication. I take pride in mentoring team members, ensuring they are confident and well-prepared to handle their responsibilities. Training in Positive Behaviour Support and emergency response protocols ensures that our team consistently provides the highest level of care and support.

The hospital’s commitment to excellence aligns with GSTS values, including integrity, teamwork, and public service. This synergy drives us to deliver exceptional security solutions tailored to the unique challenges of healthcare environments. By closely adhering to policies and procedures, we maintain compliance and safeguard the welfare of all individuals within the hospital.

It is a privilege to work in such a rewarding role, contributing to a facility that embodies compassion and care. My goal is to continue enhancing team performance and fostering a secure environment where everyone feels valued and protected.
