GSTS is delighted to share that the business and its healthcare security colleagues have received three nominations at the Annual Healthcare Security Awards 2026. The awards are run by the National Association for Healthcare Security and celebrate the very best in the sector.

The three nominations are:

  • Healthcare Security Team Award
  • Healthcare Security Manager Award
  • Violence Prevention and Reduction Initiative Award

Together, they recognise the dedication, professionalism and hard work of the GSTS teams. Every day, those teams play a vital role in keeping patients, staff and visitors safe across NHS healthcare environments. As a result, recognition like this means a great deal to everyone involved.

The NAHS Annual Conference and Awards takes place on 17 and 18 November 2026 at the University of Warwick. The winners will be revealed at the black-tie gala dinner that closes the event. An independent panel of judges selects the finalists and winners in each category.

Three nominations in one year is a proud moment for GSTS. Above all, it reflects the standard of work delivered on the ground, from frontline officers through to management. It also recognises the proactive work the teams do to prevent and reduce violence in healthcare settings, which remains one of the most important challenges in the sector.

GSTS thanks its colleagues and NHS partners for their continued commitment, collaboration and support. These nominations belong to everyone who contributes to that partnership working, day in and day out. This year has already brought an expanded healthcare security partnership across Greater Manchester, so the nominations cap a strong year for the teams.

Finally, congratulations to everyone nominated across the sector. GSTS looks forward to celebrating the achievements of all those making a real difference across healthcare security this November.
