Banksman training Formula Premier Truck Stop – officers complete latest skills session
Last week, five of our security officers at Formula Premier Truck Stop completed a dedicated Banksman training day. It adds another layer of safety and service to this busy logistics hub.
The full-day session focused on the skills needed to guide and manage large vehicles on site. Under expert instruction, the officers learned how to apply standard hand signals. They practised clear communication with drivers and worked on managing hazards with confidence. As a result, they are now fully certified to assist HGVs and other large vehicles as they manoeuvre and park safely.
The Banksman training Formula Premier Truck Stop officers completed plays an important role in improving vehicle safety and smooth operations on site.
“This kind of training makes a real difference in high-traffic environments like Formula Premier Truck Stop,” said Gareth Conlon, GSTS CEO and business director. “Our officers already do a superb job. Adding Banksman certification gives drivers even greater confidence when they arrive on site.”
The Formula Premier Truck Stop sits near Ellesmere Port. It is widely recognised as one of the UK’s leading facilities for HGV drivers. Moreover, with award-winning amenities and a strong focus on safety, Formula Services provides secure parking, high-quality rest areas and full driver support services.
HGV sites present constant movement of large vehicles, often in tight spaces with limited visibility. Banksman training equips officers to control these movements safely, reduce risk and support drivers in stressful manoeuvring situations. This practical skillset is vital for sites where security, safety and customer experience all go hand in hand.
At GSTS, we believe in continuous investment in skills and development. In addition, our officers combine security expertise with strong customer care. This helps make sites like Formula Premier Truck Stop safe, welcoming and efficient for every visitor.
