Welcoming our new Workplace Welfare Champion – Kim Ashcroft
We’re delighted to introduce Kim Ashcroft as GSTS’ new Workplace Welfare Champion. Kim, who already plays a key role as Business Coordinator, will now take on additional responsibilities to support the wellbeing of colleagues across the organisation.
With a background in team coordination and a strong understanding of frontline operations, Kim brings both compassion and clarity to this new role. As Workplace Welfare Champion, she will be an approachable point of contact for all team members – someone who listens, understands, and helps guide people to the right support.
The role is not a clinical one, but a practical and proactive extension of our ongoing commitment to staff wellbeing. Kim will:
-
Promote initiatives and resources designed to support frontline teams
-
Encourage open conversations around mental health and workplace stress
-
Raise awareness of available support services – both internal and external
-
Provide a friendly face for those who simply want to talk
-
Gather ideas and feedback to help improve how we support one another
Kim will be working closely with line managers, team leads and operational staff to ensure that wellbeing remains a core part of our culture. Whether it’s a concern you want to raise, a resource you’d like to suggest, or a chat over coffee – Kim is here for you.
At GSTS we understand that security roles can come with unique pressures. That’s why we’re proud to introduce this new position as part of our wider efforts to create a healthy, happy and supportive place to work.
